Shotgun Metagenomics:
Understanding Taxonomy and Function of Microbial Communities
Description
This new workshop consists of lectures and hands-on training in the analysis and interpretation of shotgun metagenomic sequencing data. Participants will gain experience using modern tools to profile the composition of microbial communities and assessing their functional potential.
Planned topics may include some of the following topics based on interest:
- metabolic potential of microbial communities:
- gene level
- pathway level
- prediction of antimicrobial resistance
- metagenome-assembled genomes
Fee: $275 in person / seat.
