Introduction to R / RStudio
NOTES:
– suggested or required for subsequent R-based workshops if you are not familiar with R
DESCRIPTION:
This 1/2 day workshop is particularly recommended for other workshops presenting further analysis in R of microbiota results from a qiime2 and/or mothur analysis.
This workshop is aimed at researchers interested in using R methods and is a general introduction to using R/Rstudio.
R is a popular open-source multiplatform software (Mac/Windows/Linux.)
RStudio is a Graphical User Interface (GUI) making R easier to use (and much more) and also multiplatform.
Students will learn R commands and methods within the RStudio framework.
Content will cover “classic R” and introduce elements of Tidyverse and reproducible research (dynamic documents.)
This workshop is a preparation to many other R-based workshops and provides insights to essential R commands.
For most applicants unfamiliar with R this workshop is a suggested or required session before attending other R-based workshops.
The workshop consists of short lecture material with emphasis on active hands-on exercises.
There may be a lunch break depending on the workshop time.
A $145 fee is required for each participants.
